Percussionist - Samuel CHAN Tsz Ho
A passionate and versatile performer, Samuel Chan is one of the most outstanding percussionists from Hong Kong of his generation. He is a top prize winner in numerous prestigious competitions, including the Percussive Arts Society International Solo Percussion Competition, Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Competition, Great Plains International Marimba Competition and Hong Kong Young Musician of the Year Competition.
Samuel’s concert engagements had took him to renowned concert halls and festivals around the world. His past performance highlight includes appearance as soloist with the Houston Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, as orchestral musician with the Malaysian and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, and at the Lucerne, Verbier, Edinburg and Pacific Music Festivals. He toured around Europe as the co-principal with the World Percussion Group, and has performed chamber music with prominent artists including Lawrence Lesser, Angelo Yu, Orli Shaham, and Aiyun Huang.
Samuel obtained his Artist Diploma from the Colburn School and Master of Music from The Juilliard School, as well as previously studied at the New England Conservatory and HKAPA.
